The official residence of the Sultan of Brunei is called Istana Nurul Iman, which means  Palace of the Light of Faith The palace contains

It was designed by Filipino architect Leandro V. Locsin,  the interior of the palace was designed by Khuan Chew, the construction was handled by a Filipino construction firm, Ayala International, and completed in 1984.

Istana Nurul Iman currently hold the title as the “world’s largest palace” of Guinness World Records.

The palace is only open to the public during celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri and receives about 110,000 visitors over a three-day period.
