Jame’asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque in Brunei

Jame’asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, locally known as the Kiarong mosque, is the largest mosque in Brunei. Officially launched in 1994, it was built in 1988 on a site of 20 acres of land to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the sultan’s reign.

The mosques has total of 29 golden domes which symbolizes 29th Sultan of Brunei Darussalam, His Majesty Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah.

Just like Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque, this mosques is also glowing in the dark but more that its exterior beauty, its interior design it also wonderful.
